Job opportunities

Students all the time are looking for college volunteer/paid jobs, summer jobs, and post college opportunities.  RUF is contacted by places looking for student help.  Below is a continually updating information page.

Second Presbyterian Church Fellows Program (Memphis, TN)

The Second Presbyterian Church Fellows program is a nine-month Christian leadership development training program and internship for recent college graduates.  Each year a Fellows class consists of outstanding graduates who are proven leaders, motivated students and dedicated Christians who desire to grow spiritually, increase their knowledge of Scripture, gain career experiences, serve others for Christ and be a part of a strong Christian fellowship.  Fellows take part in Bible study classes, along with seminars on theology and worldview, while also living with a host family, partnering with a mentor and engaging in an internship in a desired field of study.  For more information click here.

Trinity Presbyterian Church Fellows Program (Charlottesville, VA)

The Trinity Fellows Program is a nine-month (September through May) leadership development and training program for young adults recently out of college or graduate school. Twelve young men and women from all walks of life come together to engage in a program designed to foster a God-centered view of knowledge, culture, work and life. Fellows receive theological training, participate in seminars with Christian scholars and community leaders, and enjoy one-on-one mentoring relationships with mature Christian men and women. Fellows apply their training as they minister in the community, work in a marketplace internship and interact with their host family. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please visit their website at www.fellows.trinitycville.org or you can check out their blog at www.trinityfellowsprogram.blogspot.com.

Summer Camp Opportunities

The summer months during your college years are an excellent time to work at a summer camp. These camps give you the opportunity to build relationships with other camp counselors that will last a lifetime. They also give you a chance to serve younger kids and have a big impact on their growth and maturity. There are many good camps out there. I have listed a few that you might want to check out.

     Camp Ozark

Camp Ozark is a boys and girls sports and adventure camp. Camp Ozark will be at Mississippi State on Oct. 12-17 recruiting camp counselors for the summer of 2009. If you are interested in Camp Ozark, there will be a video presentation on Wednesday, Oct. 15th at 6:30PM in the Brunson Room of the Hunter Henry Center. The staff of Camp Ozark will also be conducting short interviews all day on Friday, Oct. 17th. You can contact Melissa Ramsey at melissa@campozark.com for more information or to set up an interview. Visit the website: www.campozark.com.

     Alpine Camp for Boys

Alpine Camp for Boys is a Christian boys camp located on the crest of Lookout Mountain in Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to spend a summer with other godly men as you serve the young boys and men who attend Alpine Camp for Boys. A summer at Alpine promises to be a fun and rewarding time that will leave a lasting impact on you for the rest of your life. To learn more about Alpine and find information on applying for the summer of 2009, visit www.alpinecamp.com.

     Desoto Camp for Girls

Desoto Camp for Girls is the sister camp to Alpine Camp for Boys and is also located atop Lookout Mountain in Alabama. This is a wonderful opportunity for women to reach out and serve younger girls and women for a summer. A summer spent at Desoto Camp for Girls as a counselor will be a stretching and growing opportunity, and it will also be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. To learn more about Desoto Camp for Girls, visit www.campdesoto.com.
